Established in January 2023, Women N Trucking Innovators LLC (WNTI) is a pioneering force in the trucking industry. Founded and led by CEO Tyrecka Jones, WNTI stands out as a female, minority, and service-disabled veteran-owned enterprise based in Phenix City, AL. As a registered limited liability company, WNTI operates under the leadership of its CEO, committed to excellence and innovation.
Semi TruckHer, a subsidiary of WNTI, embodies an apprenticeship-style approach to trucking, specializing in the efficient transportation of drayage freight over short distances for private organizations across the Southeast. With a focus on mentorship and hands-on training, Semi TruckHer empowers women from diverse backgrounds to thrive in the trucking industry.
Currently, WNTI operates independently without external investors. However, as the business continues to expand its footprint and impact, opportunities for prospective investors may emerge in the future. WNTI remains dedicated to driving forward progress and fostering inclusive growth for women within the trucking sector.
Semi TruckHer’s core philosophy revolves around creating a nurturing environment for female veteran drivers entering the trucking industry. As a female veteran-owned and operated apprenticeship-style drayage trucking business, we are devoted to encouraging more women to pursue and thrive in the predominantly male trucking sector. Our all-female mentor staff delivers a comprehensive same-gender training program designed specifically with women's needs in mind. By providing an all-female training staff, Semi TruckHer effectively addresses safety and hygiene concerns that arise from opposite-gender cabin sharing, thus fostering meaningful professional development within the industry. Women venturing into the predominantly male-oriented trucking industry may encounter challenges such as gender bias and a lack of same-gender trainers, potentially leading to uncomfortable situations or harassment. Nonetheless, a career in trucking can be fulfilling for women who acquire valuable experience and function independently or as part of a team. Female veterans who serve as single mothers or primary caregivers within their families, possessing a commercial driver's license (CDL) or desiring to acquire one, may face challenges in committing to nationwide travel with larger organizations to gain the necessary experience for securing local driving opportunities.
